1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the website of GeoSurv Africa (geosurvafrica.co.za), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site or utilizing our services.

2. Products and Services

GeoSurv Africa supplies, hires, and services measuring products and positioning solutions, including but not limited to survey equipment, construction lasers, total stations, and GNSS/GPS systems. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any product or service without notice at any time.

3. Equipment Hire

For clients utilizing our equipment hire services:

• Rates are calculated on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as agreed upon in the quotation.
• The hirer is fully responsible for the care, security, and condition of the equipment from the time it leaves our premises until it is returned.
• Any damage, loss, or theft of hired equipment will be billed to the hirer at the full replacement or repair cost.

4. Service and Repairs

We pride ourselves on comprehensive servicing (including complete stripping, ultrasonic cleaning, lubrication, optics cleaning, and calibration). By submitting your instrument for repair:

• You authorize GeoSurv Africa to perform necessary inspections and diagnostics.
• Estimates are provided before major repairs are undertaken. However, unforeseen internal damage may alter the final repair cost. We will communicate any deviations before proceeding.
• Equipment left unclaimed for more than 90 days after service completion may be sold to defray costs.

5. Pricing and Quotations

All prices, whether for sales, hire, or service, are subject to change. Quotations requested via our website or directly through email are valid for the period stated on the official quote document. Errors and omissions are excepted (E&OE).

6. Warranties and Limitation of Liability

New instruments carry the manufacturer’s standard warranty. Pre-owned units and repairs carry a limited warranty as specified on your invoice. GeoSurv Africa shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or project delays, arising out of the use, malfunction, or inability to use our products or services.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of GeoSurv Africa and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content without our prior written consent.

8. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes relating to these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cape Town, South Africa.
